83Conduct of inquiry

83 Conduct of inquiry (1) A person appointed under section 82(1) to conduct an inquiry may: (a) go on board a vessel; and (b) enter on a wharf or installation within a pilotage area in respect of which the pilot is licensed; and (c) require a person to answer any question relating to the subject of the inquiry; and (d) require the production of a document, including a report or transcript of an inquiry or investigation held under this Act, relevant to the inquiry. (2) A person commits an offence if the person contravenes a requirement made under subsection (1)(c) or (d).

Ports Management Act 2015 70 (5) A person appointed to conduct an inquiry under section 82(1) must report on it to the pilotage authority, and forward a copy of the report to the Minister.
