80 Person other than licensed pilot not to pilot vessel (a) the person pilots a vessel in a pilotage area; and

Ports Management Act 2015 68 (b) a licensed pilot is required by this Part to be on board the vessel while it is in that area; and (c) the person is not a licensed pilot or the holder of a pilotage exemption certificate in respect of that area. (2) A person commits an offence if the person: (a) represents, by word or conduct, that the person is a licensed pilot or the holder of a pilotage exemption certificate in respect of a pilotage area; and (b) knows that the representation is false.
