55 Suspension or cancellation of licence (1) If the holder of a licence under this Part contravenes a condition of the licence, the Minister may, after consulting with the port operator of the relevant designated port: (a) suspend the licence for a specified period; or (b) cancel the licence. (2) If the Minister decides to suspend or cancel a licence under subsection (1), the Minister must give written notice of the decision to the licence holder and the port operator: (a) specifying the reasons for the decision; and (b) specifying that the licence holder has a right to have the decision reviewed by the Tribunal; and (c) if the licence is to be cancelled – requiring the licence holder to surrender the licence document to the Minister within the period specified in the notice. licence holder includes former licence holder.
