#### 5 Contributions to Fund 5 Contributions to Fund > > (1) Subject to subsection (2), there shall be deducted from the salary of office of each qualified person and paid to the Fund an amount equal to 6 per cent of that salary of office. > > > (2) Subsection (1), in its application to a qualified person who— > > > > > (a) immediately before the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the [Police Regulation (Superannuation) Amendment Act 1981](/view/pdf/asmade/act-1981-24) was the Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, the Senior Assistant Commissioner or an Assistant Commissioner, and > > > > > (b) has on that day attained, or thereafter attains, the age of 60 years, > > > > shall be construed as if the reference in subsection (1) to 6 per cent were a reference to 2 per cent. > > > (3) A member of the NSW Police Force who is a contributor, or an employee of the Police Association of New South Wales who is a contributor, is a qualified person for the purposes of this section if the member or employee is under 70 years of age. > > **s 5:** Subst 1974 No 46, sec 9 (e); 1981 No 24, Sch 1 (3).
