26 Promotion of constables

The promotion of a constable to the grade of senior constable is subject to—

(a) the constable’s successful completion of internal or external qualifications required for the rank of senior constable, as determined by the Commissioner, and

(b) the constable’s completion of 4 years service—

(i) from the date on which the constable’s appointment was confirmed, or

(ii) if the constable’s seniority runs from an earlier day—from the earlier day, and

(c) a satisfactory promotion fitness report being given for the constable, and

(d) the other requirements of this division.
