### 66 Provision relating to determination of certain questions by courts

> > (1) A court held before a magistrate may, in any proceedings for an offence committed or alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of the [Police Offences Amendment Act 1984](/view/html/inforce/2026-04-12/act-9999-999) , hear and determine any question as to –
> >
> > > > (a) the title to any land;
> > >
> > > > (b) an interest in, or accruing from, the title to any land; or
> > >
> > > > (c) a bankruptcy or an execution under the process of a court.

> > (2) Except as provided in [subsection (1)](#GS66@Gs1@EN) , a court shall not, in any proceedings before it for an offence, hear and determine any question referred to in that subsection.
