82 Conduct of investigation (1) Nothing in this Part shall be taken as: (a) preventing a prescribed member who arranges an investigation referred to in section 81 from carrying out the investigation, alone or in conjunction with another member or other members; or (b) preventing more than one investigation to be carried out to determine whether a member has committed a breach of (2) Subject to subsection (3), an investigation referred to in section 81(3) shall be completed within 3 months after it is arranged. (3) The Commissioner may allow a longer period to complete an investigation under subsection (2) after reviewing the progress of the investigation before the expiration of the period of 3 months and thereafter before the expiration of each succeeding period of one month during which the investigation continues.
