147M Period for maintaining crime scene (1) The responsible member for a crime scene may maintain the crime scene for a reasonable period to enable necessary investigations to be conducted. Police Administration Act 1978 150 (2) In deciding what is a reasonable period for maintaining a crime scene, the responsible member must take into account the following matters: (a) the complexity of the relevant offence being investigated; (b) the size of the crime scene; (c) the availability of investigators or examiners with the appropriate knowledge to conduct investigations; (d) any matter relevant to the exercise of crime scene powers.
