37A Appointment of analysts
> > (1) The Minister may appoint particular persons or a class of persons to be analysts for the purposes of this Act.
>
> > (2) The appointment of a particular person as an analyst is to be by a document of appointment given to the person.

> > (3) The appointment of a class of persons to be analysts is to be by means of a notice published in the Gazette.

> > (4) Persons may be appointed as analysts whether or not they are employed under Part 4 of the [Government Sector Employment Act 2013](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2013-040).

> Section 47 of the [Interpretation Act 1987](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1987-015) provides, among other things, that a power of appointment includes a power to remove or suspend an appointee and power to appoint another person to act in place of an appointee who is removed or suspended from appointment.
