Tasmania act
This short Act amends the Poisons Act 1971 to implement measures indicated by its title (interstate prescriptions). The amendments are incorporated into the authorised version of the Principal Act. The Governor/Executive will set the commencement date by proclamation, and the Act automatically expires one year after it starts. It affects persons and businesses regulated under the Poisons Act (for example, prescribers, dispensers and regulators): the executive decides the start date, and regulated parties bear any new compliance obligations and costs while the amendments operate.
