#### 129 Prohibited advertisements 129 Prohibited advertisements > > (1) A person must not cause to be published any advertisement for a service involving the use of a motor vehicle or a booking service if— > > > > > (a) a provider of that kind of service is required to be authorised under this Act and the operator is not so authorised, or > > > > > (b) that kind of vehicle is required to be licensed under this Act and the vehicle is not so licensed. > > > > Maximum penalty—50 penalty units. > > > (2) It is a defence to proceedings against a person who causes an advertisement to be published if the person establishes that the person did not know, and could not reasonably have known, that the provider of a service was not authorised, or a vehicle was not licensed, under this Act. > > > (3) In this section— > > > > publish means disseminate or provide access to the public or a section of the public by means of radio, television, the Internet, newspapers, billboards, cinemas or other media.
