#### 111 Functions of authorised officers 111 Functions of authorised officers > > (1) An authorised officer may exercise the functions conferred by Division 2 if the officer believes on reasonable grounds that it is necessary to do so for the purposes of this Act or the regulations, including the following purposes— > > > > > (a) an inspection, audit or inquiry under this Act, > > > > > (b) to determine whether there has been a contravention of this Act, the regulations or the terms of an authorisation, taxi licence or requirement under this Act, > > > > > (c) to determine whether there has been a contravention of the [Taxation Administration Act 1996](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1996-097), as applied for the purposes of Schedule 4. > > > (2) An authorised officer must not use any more force than is reasonably necessary to enter premises under this Act or to do anything for which entry is effected. > > > (3) An authorised officer must do as little damage as possible when exercising a function under this Act.
