sec.69 Declaration that on-site sewage work is compliant

This section applies to the extent the work carried out under a permit issued by a local government is on-site sewage work. Despite section 64 , the local government may, instead of inspecting the work under that section, allow an appropriate person to give the local government a declaration in the approved form (an on-site sewage work declaration ), stating that the person— has inspected the on-site sewage work; and is satisfied the work is compliant. In this section— appropriate person means a person, other than a person who carried out the work, who the local government considers— has appropriate knowledge about the design and function of the on-site sewage facility to which the work relates; and is otherwise competent to make the declaration. (sec.69-ssec.1) This section applies to the extent the work carried out under a permit issued by a local government is on-site sewage work.
