sec.89 Proceedings for offences
A proceeding for an offence against this Act must start within the later of the following periods to end— 2 years after the commission of the offence; 1 year after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge. A statement in a complaint for an offence against this Act that the matter of the complaint came to the complainant’s knowledge on a stated day is evidence the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge on that day. (sec.89-ssec.1) A proceeding for an offence against this Act must start within the later of the following periods to end— 2 years after the commission of the offence; 1 year after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge. (sec.89-ssec.2) A statement in a complaint for an offence against this Act that the matter of the complaint came to the complainant’s knowledge on a stated day is evidence the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge on that day.
