sec.74 Discharging toilet waste and water

The owner of premises must ensure waste and water from a toilet or soil fixture on the premises is discharged into— for premises in a sewered area— the sewerage system for the area; or if the premises have an on-site sewage treatment plant for which there is a treatment plant testing approval—the on-site sewage treatment plant; or if the premises have a holding tank for the storage of the waste and water from a toilet or soil fixture on the premises installed under a permit and the period stated in the permit has not ended—the holding tank; or for other premises— an on-site sewage facility; or an environmentally relevant on-site sewage facility. Maximum penalty—250 penalty units.
