sec.67 Directing persons to carry out non-compliant work
A person must not direct another person to carry out plumbing or drainage work in a way that does not comply with the code requirements for the work. Maximum penalty—100 penalty units. In a proceeding for an offence against subsection (1) , it is a defence for the person to prove that the person did not know, and could not reasonably be expected to have known, that the way in which the person is directing another person to carry out plumbing or drainage work does not comply with the code requirements for the work. A person must not direct another person to install, as part of plumbing or drainage work, a thing unless the thing is a thing mentioned in section 65 (1) (a) to (f) . Maximum penalty—100 penalty units. In a proceeding for an offence against subsection (3) , it is a defence for the person to prove that the person did not know, and could not reasonably be expected to have known, that the thing the person is directing another person to install, as part of plumbing or drainage work, is not a thing mentioned in section 65 (1) (a) to (f) .
