#### 45 Financial contributions to be paid into regional accounts 45 Financial contributions to be paid into regional accounts > > (1) Money paid or recovered under this Part is not payable into the Consolidated Fund but into separate regional accounts approved by the Minister. > > > (2) Money in those regional accounts must be used to meet the transport infrastructure expenditure for which the financial contributions were required. > > > (3) Those regional accounts are to be accounts established and operated by relevant local authorities liable to meet that transport infrastructure expenditure. The Minister is not to approve of any such account unless satisfied that the money in the account will be properly applied for that purpose. > > > (4) The contribution plan for a region may make provision with respect to the establishment and operation of those regional accounts.
