356 Definitions—pt 10.9 improvement, in relation to land, means— (a) a building or other structure on or under the land; or (b) for land described in a rural lease— (i) a building or other structure on or under the land; or (ii) any earthworks, planting or other work that affects the landscape of the land that is reasonably undertaken for rural purposes. lessee, for a lease that has ended, whether by termination, surrender, end of term or otherwise, means the person who was the lessee under the lease when the lease ended. undertaken, in relation to an improvement that is a building or other structure, means the construction of the building or other structure.
