53 Decision on application (1) Subject to this Division, the Minister, after considering the matters set out in section 49, may— S. 53(1)(a) amended by No. 68/2014 s. 85. (a) grant a licence to the applicant, authorising the applicant to construct and operate a pipeline along a route authorised in the licence; or (b) refuse to grant a licence in respect of the proposed pipeline. (2) A licence must authorise the proposed route of the pipeline, whether the route is the same as that in the application for the licence or as varied by the Minister in granting the licence.
