183 Defences to charge of failing to comply with a notice (1) In a proceeding for an offence of failing to comply with an improvement notice, it is a defence to the charge for the accused to prove that the accused did not contravene this Act, or fail to comply with a condition of a licence, in the manner set out in the improvement notice. (2) In a proceeding for an offence of failing to comply with an improvement notice or prohibition notice, it is a defence to the charge for the accused to prove that the accused took all reasonable steps to comply with the notice.
