sec.47A Keeping and using information obtained or kept under this Act or particular transport Acts

The chief executive may, for this Act, keep or use information obtained or kept under a particular transport Act if the information— relates to any matter under this Act; or concerns the administration of this Act. The chief executive may, for a particular transport Act, keep or use information obtained or kept under this Act if the information— relates to any matter under the particular transport Act; or concerns the administration of the particular transport Act. The general manager under the Maritime Safety Queensland Act 2002 may, for the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994 , keep or use information obtained or kept under this Act if the information— relates to any matter under the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994 ; or concerns the administration of the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994 . Information that may be kept or used under subsection (1) , (2) or (3) does not include a digital photo and digitised signature. This section applies despite a provision of this or another Act. In this section— particular transport Act means any of the following Acts— the Tow Truck Act 2023 ; the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 ; the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Act 1994 ; the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994 ; the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 ; the Transport Planning and Coordination Act 1994 ; the Transport Security (Counter-Terrorism) Act 2008 . s 47A ins 2010 No. 13 s 55 amd 2020 No. 21 s 25 ; 2023 No. 28 s 185 (sec.47A-ssec.1) The chief executive may, for this Act, keep or use information obtained or kept under a particular transport Act if the information— relates to any matter under this Act; or concerns the administration of this Act. (sec.47A-ssec.2) The chief executive may, for a particular transport Act, keep or use information obtained or kept under this Act if the information— relates to any matter under the particular transport Act; or concerns the administration of the particular transport Act.
