89 Resignation and removal (1) A member of the Authority ceases to be a member if he or she is absent, without leave first being granted by the Authority, from 3 consecutive meetings of which reasonable notice has been given to that member, either personally or by post. (2) A member of the Authority may resign the office of member by writing signed by the member and delivered to the Minister. (3) The Governor in Council may at any time remove a member of the Authority from office. (4) If a member of the Authority dies, resigns or is removed from office, the Minister may fill the vacant position by appointing a person who is qualified to be appointed as an acting member. (5) A member appointed under subsection (4) holds office for the rest of the term of appointment of the member whose place he or she fills.
