sec.74 Review of written contract, agreement or arrangement

This section applies if a person gives the council a document requested by the council under this Act for the purpose of determining whether the person is a party to a contract, agreement or arrangement mentioned in section 72 (e) . See, for example, sections 26 , 39 , 54 and 81 for provisions under which the council may ask for a document as mentioned in subsection (1) . The council may— appoint an appropriately qualified person (the reviewer ) to— review the document for the purpose of determining the matter mentioned in subsection (1) ; and prepare a report on the review for the council; and by notice to the person, ask the person to pay to the council the fee prescribed by regulation for having the reviewer carry out the review and prepare the report. If the council asks the person to pay a fee under subsection (2) (b) , the person must pay the fee within 14 days after the notice is given to the person. If the reviewer does not conduct the review and give a copy of the report to the council within 60 days after the appointment, the council may decide that the person is not a party to a contract, agreement or arrangement mentioned in section 72 (e) .
