48 Safety case required for the relevant stage in the life of a facility
(1) A person must not:
(a) construct a facility; or
(b) install a facility; or
(c) operate a facility; or
(d) modify a facility; or
(e) decommission a facility;
in Commonwealth waters if there is not a safety case in force for the relevant stage in the life of the facility that corresponds with the conduct.
Note A safety case is not required under these Regulations for construction or modification of a facility at a location that is not in Commonwealth waters (for example, at a shipyard).
