#### 61 Acts done in an emergency etc. It is not an offence against section 60: (a) if, in an emergency in which there is a likelihood of loss or injury, or for the purpose of maintaining a pipeline in good order or repair, a person does an act to avoid the loss or injury or to maintain the pipeline in good order and repair and: (i) as soon as practicable notifies the Designated Authority of the act done; and (ii) complies with any directions given to him by the Designated Authority; or (b) if a person does an act in compliance with a direction under this Act or the regulations.
