2A Objects The objects of these Regulations are: (a) to provide for land access agreements between interest holders and the owners or occupiers of land covered by petroleum interests, whether negotiated or determined by the Tribunal; and (b) to support and enhance the integrity of onshore petroleum wells by ensuring that risks to well integrity are reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable; and (c) to support and enhance the integrity of petroleum surface infrastructure by ensuring that risks to surface infrastructure integrity are reduced to as low as is reasonably practicable; and (d) to support and enhance the strategic management of petroleum production consistent with achieving optimum long- term recovery of the resource.
