#### 101 Requirement to provide information and records 101 Requirement to provide information and records > > (1) An inspector may, by written notice given to a person, require the person to furnish to the inspector such information or records (or both) as the inspector requires by the notice in connection with any matter relating to the administration of this Act. > > > (2) The notice must specify the manner in which the information or records are required to be furnished and a reasonable time by which the information or records are required to be furnished. > > > (3) If a record required to be furnished under the notice is in electronic, mechanical or other form, the notice requires the record to be furnished in written form, unless the notice otherwise provides. > > > (4) The notice may only require a person to furnish existing records that are in the person’s possession or that are within the person’s power to obtain lawfully. > > > (5) The inspector to whom a record is furnished under the notice may take copies of the record. > > **s 101:** Am 2000 No 90, Sch 4 \[10\] \[20\]; 2010 No 29, Sch 3 \[12\].
