Western Australia act
The Act regulates petroleum exploration, recovery, pipelines and related offshore infrastructure in Western Australia’s defined submerged-land area through permits, leases, licences, approvals, fees and royalties (ss 5, 19, 39, 60, 143). It also regulates greenhouse-gas exploration, injection, transport, storage, closure and certain post-closure liabilities (ss 4A–4D, 39A, 52, 74AB–74AZG). It affects titleholders and operators, and sets rules for activities and infrastructure in the area.
