216 Improvement notice (1) This section applies if the Minister is satisfied that the holder of an authority— (a) is contravening this Act; or (b) has contravened this Act in circumstances that make it likely that the contravention will occur again; or (c) is not complying with a condition of the authority; or (d) has failed to comply with a condition of the authority in circumstances that make it likely that the failure will occur again. (2) The Minister may issue to the holder of the authority an improvement notice requiring the holder to take specified action within a specified period to stop the contravention, or failure to comply, from continuing or occurring again. (3) The holder of the authority must comply with the notice.
