21 Chief factors to be considered in deciding between competing offers (1) This section applies if more than one application is received in respect of an area and the Minister decides to grant an exploration permit in respect of the area. (2) In determining which applicant, if any, is to be granted the permit, the chief factors the Minister must take into account are— (a) the respective merits of the work programs proposed by the applicants; and S. 21(2)(b) amended by No. 20/2020 s. 9(1). (b) the likelihood that the work programs will be carried out; and S. 21(2)(c) inserted by No. 20/2020 s. 9(2). (c) any prescribed factor.
