89A Functions (1) An inspector has the following functions under this Act: (a) to provide information and advice about compliance with this Act; Petroleum Act 1984 93 (b) to monitor compliance with this Act and to take action to require or secure compliance with this Act through the exercise of powers under this Act; (c) to investigate contraventions of this Act and assist in the prosecution of offences; (d) to do anything else necessary or required for the administration, operation or enforcement of this Act, including gathering information. (2) An inspector has the powers necessary to perform the inspector's functions under this Act. (3) This section does not limit a function or power of an inspector under another provision of this Act.
