Personal Property Securities Amendment (Deregulatory Measures) Commencement Proclamation 2015

This is a formal proclamation by the Governor‑General that sets 1 October 2015 as the day when Schedule 1 of the Personal Property Securities Amendment (Deregulatory Measures) Act 2015 comes into force.

In practical terms:

This document doesn’t create new rules itself; it simply flicks the switch to activate the deregulatory changes contained in the parent Act.
These changes relate to the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (the law governing security interests over personal property like cars, equipment, and company assets).
The "deregulatory measures" aim to reduce red tape and compliance burdens for businesses using the national Personal Property Securities Register.

Think of this as the official calendar entry telling everyone when the amended rules start applying.
