#### 20 Savings and transitional provisions 20 Savings and transitional provisions > > (1) Section 12 does not affect any rights arising under a judgment or an order which has taken effect before the appointed day or arising under any agreement made before the appointed day. > > > (2) Notwithstanding the repeal of sections 31, 31A and 36 of the [Conveyancing Act 1919](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1919-006), the provisions of those sections continue to apply in relation to a settlement taking effect before the appointed day.
