#### 143A Ceasing of innovation patents An innovation patent ceases if: (a) the fee for filing the request and accompanying specification relating to an application for an innovation patent is not paid in accordance with the regulations; or (b) after an examination of the patent has been requested under paragraph 101A(b), the patentee does not pay the prescribed fee for the examination within the prescribed period; or (c) the Commissioner does not make a decision under paragraph 101E(1)(a) within the period prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph; or (d) the patentee does not pay a renewal fee for the patent within the prescribed period; or (e) the patentee does not comply with a direction of the Commissioner under section 106 within the time allowed by the Commissioner under that section.
