> > (1) A person must not bring a converted e-bike battery—
> >
> > > (a) onto a restricted rail vehicle, or
> >
> > > (b) into the following parts of the restricted area of a station—
> > >
> > > > (i) the platform,
> > >
> > > > (ii) for a station with ticket barriers or smartcard readers—a part of the station between the platform and the barriers or readers that is not a publicly accessible thoroughfare.

> > Maximum penalty—10 penalty units.

> > (2) This clause does not apply to a person if the person—

> > > (a) has a disability that impairs the person’s mobility, and
> >
> > > (b) uses a converted e-bike as a mobility aid, and

> > > (c) is carrying a medical certificate or a health practitioner certificate stating that the person is able to use an e-bike as a mobility aid, and

> > > (d) immediately produces the certificate if an authorised officer asks to see the certificate.
