#### 224 Commencement of valuation arbitrations 224 Commencement of valuation arbitrations > An arbitrator must commence the valuation arbitration within 7 working days (or such further period as the parties may agree or, in the absence of such an agreement, as the Secretary may allow) after the arbitrator’s appointment. > > Note. > > Section 14 of the Arbitration Act provides that, subject to that Act and the provisions of the arbitration agreement (which is taken to be this Part by clause 219(2)) the arbitrator in a valuation arbitration may conduct the proceedings in such manner as the arbitrator thinks fit.
