#### 46Q Compensation 46Q Compensation > > (1) The appropriate authority must pay compensation for any damage caused by any authorised officer in the exercise of a power to enter premises or a vehicle under this Part, other than damage arising from work done for the purpose of an inspection which reveals that there has been a contravention of this Act or any other Act or law. > > > (1A) The Crown must pay compensation for any damage caused by any transport safety investigator in the exercise of a power to enter premises or a vehicle under Schedule 6, other than damage reasonably arising from work done for the purpose of a transport safety investigation. > > > (2) Section 66 does not apply to a liability under this section. > > **s 46Q:** Ins 2003 No 65, Sch 3 \[18\].
