New South Wales regulation
This Notice declares specified state and territory parole-transfer statutes to be “corresponding laws” for the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983 and revokes earlier notices. Mechanically, it sets which local statutes provide the legal basis for transferring parole orders between jurisdictions.
Who decides: the Commonwealth by this notice. Who is affected: parolees, corrective services agencies and courts handling transfer requests. Why it matters: it determines the legal and administrative duties and discretion that apply when parole is transferred across jurisdictions.
