140 New section 21B inserted

After section 21A of the Parliamentary Committees Act 2003 insert—

"21B Membership of Parliamentary Ethics Committee

(1) The Parliamentary Ethics Committee must consist of 6, 8 or 10 members of whom—

(a) half must be members of the Legislative Assembly; and

(b) half must be members of the Legislative Council.

(2) Not more than half of the members of the Parliamentary Ethics Committee may be members of a political party forming the Government.".
