94A Use of Commonwealth transport for security purposes

(1) This section applies if the Minister is satisfied that, to ensure the personal safety of a member, the member should be able to use Commonwealth transport. (2) For the purposes of subsection 42(1) of the Act, the Commonwealth is to provide the Commonwealth transport. (3) The Commonwealth transport is provided subject to any conditions specified by the Minister in writing, including in relation to: (a) circumstances in which the transport may or must be used (including in relation to whether other types of transport are available); and (b) who may travel with the member in the transport. (4) Paragraphs (3)(a) and (b) do not limit the conditions that may be specified by the Minister under subsection (3).
