116 Saving of existing elections

(1) Where, before the commencement of these Regulations, an election was made under any provision of the Superannuation Ordinance, that election shall, whether it was made within the relevant period specified in that provision or was recognized under subsection 87(2) of that Ordinance, be as valid and effectual for all purposes as it would have been if these Regulations had not been made. (2) Without limiting the generality of subregulation (1), the provisions of subsection 87(3) of the Superannuation Ordinance shall continue to apply to and in relation to an election referred to in that subregulation.
