70 Matters of relevance to a Department

(1) For the purposes of paragraph 55(1)(b), this section covers a disclosure that is necessary for the purposes of facilitating the progress or resolution of a matter that is relevant to, and within the portfolio responsibilities of, a Department administering any part of the Act or these rules or the social security law. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), a disclosure covered by that subsection includes a disclosure that is necessary for the purposes of facilitating the progress or resolution of a matter that relates to a program administered, or an activity undertaken, by the Department if: (a) the program or activity provides assistance or services to a class of persons; and (b) that class of persons includes one or more persons receiving: (i) parental leave pay; or (iii) payments or entitlements under the social security law.
