Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation repeals (cancels) three earlier sets of rules about ozone protection:

Statutory Rules 1990 No. 283
Statutory Rules 1993 No. 49
Statutory Rules 1994 No. 155

These were the Ozone Protection (Product Control) Regulations, which controlled certain products that could damage the ozone layer. By repealing them, this instrument removes those specific rules from Australia's environmental laws.

Why this matters: This is essentially housekeeping for the statute book. If you were a business or individual required to follow those specific product control rules, you no longer need to comply with them. However, this does not affect other ozone protection laws (like the main Ozone Protection Act 1989 or other regulations) which continue to apply.
