65DPurposes of the Account

#### 65D Purposes of the Account The following are the purposes of the Account: (a) paying or reimbursing the Commonwealth’s costs associated with the administration of this Act and the regulations; (b) paying or reimbursing the Commonwealth’s costs associated with furthering the following programs (including providing information about those programs): (i) programs to phase out or phase down scheduled substances; (ii) emission minimisation programs for scheduled substances; (c) paying or reimbursing the Commonwealth’s costs associated with management of the National Halon Bank; (ca) paying or reimbursing the Commonwealth’s costs associated with research relating to: (i) substances that deplete ozone in the atmosphere; or (ii) synthetic greenhouse gases; (d) refunding any amounts credited to the Account in error; (e) refunding or remitting, in accordance with regulations made for the purposes of subsection 70(4), amounts received by the Commonwealth as fees for applications under this Act or the regulations.
