Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This short 1909 Act authorises a £1 million transfer from the Commonwealth’s Consolidated Revenue Fund into the Invalid and Old-age Pensions Fund (established under earlier Audit Acts) to finance payments to elderly and disabled Australians. It doesn’t set eligibility or rates—it’s purely the legal funding vehicle for one of the first national social‑security measures.
