602L Listed NOPSEMA laws—monitoring and investigation powers (relationship with other powers)

The exercise or performance by a NOPSEMA inspector (or any other person) of a power or function under Part 2 or 3 of the Regulatory Powers Act, as it applies under this Division: (a) does not prevent the inspector (or other person) from exercising or performing a power or function under any provision of this Act; and (b) is not prevented by the exercise or performance by a NOPSEMA inspector (or any other person) of a power or function under any provision of this Act.

Note: NOPSEMA inspectors may also exercise other powers under this Act. For example:

(a) under section 602J and Schedule 2A, in relation to provisions of this Act that are petroleum environmental laws; and
(b) under Part 6.8 and Schedule 3, in relation to provisions of this Act that are listed OHS laws.
