#### 271 Surrender of title Scope (1) This section applies if the Joint Authority consents under section 270 to: (a) the surrender, in whole or in part, of: (i) a petroleum exploration permit; or (ii) a petroleum production licence; or (iii) a pipeline licence; or (b) the surrender of: (i) a petroleum retention lease; or (ii) an infrastructure licence. Surrender (2) The registered holder of the permit, lease or licence may, by written notice given to the Titles Administrator, surrender the whole or the part, as the case may be, of the permit, lease or licence. When surrender takes effect (3) The surrender takes effect on the day on which notice of the surrender is published in the Gazette.
