#### 232 Duration of petroleum special prospecting authority (1) A petroleum special prospecting authority comes into force on the day specified in the authority as the day on which the authority is to come into force. (2) A petroleum special prospecting authority remains in force for the period specified in the authority. (3) The period specified under subsection (2) must not be longer than 180 days. (4) Subsection (2) has effect subject to this Chapter. > Note 1: For the surrender of a petroleum special prospecting authority, see Part 2.12. > Note 2: For the cancellation of a petroleum special prospecting authority, see Part 2.13.
