sec.242 Provisional renewal of mining lease
The Minister may— provisionally renew the tenure; or subject to section 245 , refuse to renew the tenure. Under section 233 , the renewal of the tenure can not be effective before it is registered (see section 334 for registration). The renewal will not be registered until it has been properly accepted (see section 250 for proper acceptance ). Under section 254 , new conditions may be imposed on renewal.
- (a) provisionally renew the tenure; or
- (b) subject to section 245 , refuse to renew the tenure.
