sec.232 Initial term of mining lease
A mining lease comes into force on— the day on which the grant of the tenure is registered; or if a day later than the day on which the grant of the tenure is registered is specified in the tenure as its commencement day—that specified day. The initial term of a mining lease ends— if the tenure is granted under division 2 —at the end of the period specified in the tenure under section 209 (1) ; or if the tenure is granted under division 3 —at the end of the period specified under section 227 (2) . The tenure may be surrendered at any time (see section 264 ). The period runs from— the day on which the tenure is provisionally granted; or if a day later than the day on which the tenure is provisionally granted is specified in the tenure as its commencement day—that specified day. (sec.232-ssec.1) A mining lease comes into force on— the day on which the grant of the tenure is registered; or if a day later than the day on which the grant of the tenure is registered is specified in the tenure as its commencement day—that specified day. (sec.232-ssec.2) The initial term of a mining lease ends— if the tenure is granted under division 2 —at the end of the period specified in the tenure under section 209 (1) ; or if the tenure is granted under division 3 —at the end of the period specified under section 227 (2) . (sec.232-ssec.3) The period runs from— the day on which the tenure is provisionally granted; or if a day later than the day on which the tenure is provisionally granted is specified in the tenure as its commencement day—that specified day.
- (a) the day on which the grant of the tenure is registered; or
- (b) if a day later than the day on which the grant of the tenure is registered is specified in the tenure as its commencement day—that specified day.
